I've been digging on obscure 60s bands lately so pardon the deviation from the regular country stuff. Penny Arkade were a band in Los Angeles in the 60s who never released anything but recorded a bunch of really good songs. This one, titled "Country Girl" is one of my favorites. All of Penny Arkades recorded material can be found on the 2004 Sundazed compilation, "Not the Freeze". Enjoy!

@bepponejones Yes, Maitreya Kali was a pseudonym formerly used by Craig Vincent Smith who was in Penny Arkade.
The Inca and Apache albums contain Penny Arkade recordings and some later songs by Craig.

i know this song from the Maitreya Kali - INCA LP ... is it the same group? Also "Lights Of Dawn" "Thesis" and "(K)not The Freeze" are on that LP ... really wonderfull stuff!
