What are we terrorists now?? I want watch crystal cement (JS hypo cement) and i want it now! Maybe i will have to travel abroad to get it?!

  • Any suggestions for a glue (for legos) that has EXTREMELY high shear strength? meaning it can withstand a few thousand pounds of force?

  • Well, Ive been building for over 20 years and professionally for about 8 (doing builds for clients) and super glue is a great tool to use in your tool box, and btw I use Super Glue that is "specifically designed" for models and comes in different types thin, super thin, and even if you get a fingerprint on it u can sand it smooth for a nice finish, many pros use superglue along with regular liquid cement you are not supposed to use it for all parts just thouse that have gaps try it .

  • Trichlorothene and ACC, is all that´s needed.

  • the BEST glue to use is ambroids pro-weld glue... its liquid (not like that revell goopy shit you get) and it melts a very thin layer so the plastic sticks to it and will become one piece instead of 2 pieces glued together. Also if you get it on your fingers it just evaporates into the air..

  • I use CA for the very tiny parts like hydraulic hoses, very thin pipes and such because that poly cement in a tube or in the bottle just melts the part away, in my experiences takes ages to set and doesnt provide a very strong bond. I use tiny tiny amounts of dirt cheap CA and it sets in a few seconds, and is 10x stronger than liquid poly.

  • found that one out last time and it stuffed up my glass

  • When I use glues mostly the liguid glue I sometimes use some thin labratory gloves. :D to avoid finger prints

  • Well, I am going to stick with the specialty products I have been using that are designed specifically for use in making models. They have been working really well for me and are easy to use. I guess just like everyone else, I use what works best for me. If others like superglue, and it works for them, that's great,
