Laura Riding Sassy For The First Time With Reins

What can I say? This is Sassy in the roundpen with Laura, just two weeks after I started riding her. She has had no trainer outside of me, and, in fact, no other riders outside of my daughters and me since her racing career ended. The motherly demeanor she has with these kids is astounding and touching and just something you don't see with off-the-track thoroughbreds, who are very often "nut-cases," especially ones who were run as mercilessly as this one was. I have said it before, but this is the most intelligent, loving and willing to please horse I have ever come across. I come to the barn with something in my head, and I swear she reads my mind, because she starts doing that very thing when we start working.
