Wind is a great way to phase out other dirty fuels and needs to be in place before electric cars are on the road in just a few years.

First of all, when did I say I was discounting anything he said? I was pointing out the irony of his promoting green energies when he's wasting a ton of fuel with his jet, and I agreed with you about Gore. Is Pelosi an activist? No. Therefore no irony. Seriously, should I provide a dictionary definition of the term "irony" while I'm at it?

Pelosi flies her staff in a private jumbo jet back and forth from San Francisco. Al Gore has 7 SUVs, huge homes. Pickens is in a position to know about energy and distribution, spending his own money to fuel alternatives, in direct competition with some of his business interests. It show he is dedicated, understanding and a good man. This idea that he is a hypocrite because he is rich and using a jet to fly around ignores all the things he has done, is doing and can do. Don't discount him.

Anywho, I agree Al Gore needs to lay off the fossil fuels, but this video wasn't posted by him, now was it? ;)

So the fact that other supposed green-friendly famous folks do it means that it's hunky dorey? And just because Pelosi has been known to share similar sentiments on environmental issues doesn't automatically make her an eco- or energy activist, so I don't see why she was mentioned along with Al Gore other than the fact that she's also wealthy. My main point was "Practice what you preach," and Pelosi, while sympathetic to environmentalists, hasn't said promoted that particular cause.

Doesn't buring things pollute the air? I burnt our paper trash as a kid and then they outlawed it in Detroit. They have no control over it on Devil's night, tho.

The Picken's Pan makes a lot of sense. We hve loads of NG, lots of wind in the midwest, Oil produciton at near capacity now and spend billions making foreigners rich.
