Just to clarify: At no point did Georgia's soldiers cross over to russia. In fact Georgian soldiers responded to gunfire coming from South Osethia. (SO = Geo teryt.) They returned fire at which point things escalated. Now i live in Estonia and we got real news here, including the events that came before the war. The South Osethian rebels bombed several villages along the border that the russian "peace keepers" were guarding. So it is only logical that i f*ckin shoot back at people that bomb me.

One of my favourite books is The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. It's a really good book. Check it out.

well there's a movie now so i definitely gotta read the book... hopefully it will be nothing like the debacle that Queen of the Damned was... if you never read the book then it was an "ok" movie but if you did (like i did) you were sorely disappointed (considering how much poetic license was given on my part). Don't know how much Anne Rice was consulted on this one.
