Skins Open Auditions Series 5 UK - Casting Tips

Hi! I auditioned for Skins series 3 and it was a lot of fun. Here are some tips and advice if you're going to the open auditions in Bristol or London fro Series 5 and 6 of E4's Skins Series.

By the way, I'm not an actor, I work in casting in the UK! Only reason I auditioned for Skins 3 was because I wanted to meet Jane Ripley who was casting the show at the time! :)

Hello, thanks for the advice. I'm spanish and i currently live in spain (i'm moving to london in a few months) , would it be possible for me to audition and would they have any kind of issues? Thanks :)

@pattpink100 Hey! There aren't any auditions for the show at the moment and I doubt there will be any soon. They have also always made a point of only considering people from the UK in the past.

This was ever so helpful thanks! do you know of any auditions coming up for anything? I would really love to get started in the acting industry, but I don't know where to start. I'm 14 and from Poland, but live in UK. It's my dream! I do realize it won't be easy but I am willing to try. I don't have MUCH experience but I love acting. I can't sing well, but with help of pro's I'm sure I wouldn't be so bad. Any help that will be provided, would be great. I want to prove haters wrong. Thanks!

@GLBizzie she says she is a casting director AND she's auditioned, I'd say that's two reasons why her advice could be helpful. If you don't want to watch, then don't, troll.

Thnk you ever so much for your advice. I havnt had any proper acting experences but this has helped me understand what the people of Skins are looking for.

So I think now definatly, I will be auditioning for the 7th and 8th Series.

@peacelovepierce The difference is though that Effy appeared in series one and two as well, so needed to be younger than the age range as she played Tony's younger sister.
