DollFace- Midnight Syndicate: Return of the Ancient Ones

This video is my second entry for Midnight Syndicate's 13th Anniversary Video Contest. The video took about three months to shoot while I gathered props and ideas.

The reason I made this video as well is to showcase the extra footage and help describe the storyline a bit more.


DollFace is the story of a woman named Anne Louise Collins, who grew up in the late 18th century. She was orphaned at a young age and turned to a wild bohemian lifestyle while traveling with a carnival. There, she met Madame Fortunota who taught her the ways of the nebulous.

Years later, Anne broke away from her wild lifestyle and settle down as a seamstress. While the folks of her new town called her "the Maiden of the Earth", no one knew about the "Doll Face". Her life outlasted the turn of the 19th century. She died dedicated to the completion of a double-sided doll. One with a mystical force beyond belief.

The story continues to present day when two strangers find the doll and its power is unleashed.

The Doll Face lives...

I chose this song because I felt a power behind it that revolves around the basic storyline. Also, the loud and upbeat tone to it married well with the chase scenes. It plays well with "Grisly Reminder" in telling the twisted tale of Anne Louise Collins and the dreaded Doll Face.
