i got a smacks design with no electrical leakage....need to finish it and camera it...well reallys its just wall plates and dont use any nuts but on the end and uses half the plates as a smack but twice the output per plate...again no leakage...soon

this time more serious comment,wouldn't be a good idea to put a steel ring on the outside of the o-ring to keep up with some stress on the tube

I dont think I am inducing that much stress to the acrylic when I tighten the cap. It uses a 45 degree angled rubber bevel seal so it should expand evenly and it seals almost too good!
If you notice I do have a compression clamp in that area and in turn that bolts onto my steel arm that holds the unit on the car frame.
In any even we really do not need that great of a seal on these units as long as the gas is free to escape thru the air intake.
