Hi Greg - great video and a real help as my teacher cant gliss!!
I was hoping you can answe a few questions as I'm really unclear about some things.
Can you gliss as well between notes that involve using side keys e.g Middle register G to C, C to B flat etc? What is the range - can you gliss on the bottom E for example all the way up?
It appears on Rhapsofy in blue that the gliss doesn't really kick in until it gets to the middle register where you do the slide think with fingers.
Cheers.

So do you keep your embouchure firm or relaxed while you slide your fingers off?
-
Victor Goines also had a pretty crazy gliss on roll em right?

How many ligatures do you have????? In all these videos you have a different one every time lol
Is it just me or is that clarinet "reversed" as to what normal clarinets are? His right hand is on top and left hand on the bottom.
I just didn't realize they made them like that, I had a student who insisted on putting the hands like that on a regular clarinet, I guess he should have had one of those.

how did you get such a wonderful tone quality on your clarinet?

LONG TONES! They may be boring to practice at first, however they are essential to learning any wind instrument. Beginning players should practice long tones 15-30 minutes a day!!
For the tone, find as many clarinet players as you can and LISTEN to the ALL the time. Many young players don't listen to the music they play. LISTEN, your own voice will emerge from imitating many different players and styles, they more players you check out, well, the more unique your sound!
