  • Y'all think your so smart. Burton's trying an escape: not magic. None of you considered there're 6 cameras filming the stunt. Track 'em (allow for editing to show different cuts from each camera) & it's clear all were from one continuous 'take'. This is what happens when amateurs put their 2 cents in. In fact, each year pro escape artists get killed/hurt when stunts go wrong. Burton shot this w/witnesses LIVE. He was supposed to clear in 1 full sec -not .1. He got lucky. You 'experts' bite me.

  • The biggest thing people find as "fake" is that his shadow vanishes.

However... of course it does. When it does, he's leaning far forward... into the sun... creating an angle that no longer casts a shadow.

Do magicians resort to camera tricks? Criss Angel certainly seem to. However... this seems pretty seamless.

  • What it the Name of the Song?

  • The song is off a music CD that came with a version of Magix video editing software many years ago (perhaps around 2003). It is one of those royalty-free songs that come with a video editing program.

  • that was amazing. Its not supposed to be magic is supposed to be an escape.

  • The only potential injury he risked, was a cut from the video editor's scissors...

(he should have waited a few years before faking this, till CGI technology had improved beyond the point of 'amateur editing mistakes', which this video is littered with)

  • When he jumps at 2:16 you can plainly see his foot go THROUGH the rollercoaster.

  • Take it from an actual magician, this escape was REAL. Being an escape artist is a real skill, just like cards, hypnotising, mental-ism, suggestion, pick-pocket etc etc. and like all those, they can go wrong.

    This almost did.

Just today at magic rehearsal I had 3 close accidents, almost got hit over head with prop, almost got got hit by an arrow and we we're doing a sawing in half and forgot to switch for the special blade.

Stuff going wrong is part of bussiness.

  • its not really magic if you have a lock pick

  • @xLearocksx Obviously. Look at the shadow of the rail on the mountain. By looking at that you should be able to tell which angle the sun is shining at. It would make sense that due to the sharp angle the shadow would come late.

  • @slumparn The idea was to escape which he did, he wasnt attached to the track, he simply had a handcuff around his last leg.

Whether orginally that was planned or not, is unknown, luckily he's OK though. All magic tricks go wrong at some point, and they all have their set of consequences, but if he had lost a foot, that could've been the end of his career, if he had lost more, his life.
