Step 1: Create a new Text document
Step 2: copy and paste X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
Step 3: Save it
Step 4: Right click the text document and Click "Scan"

The detection rates are SOOOO Off and Avast! is a BIG TIME RAM hogger!

Do some research on it before you speak. Avast! is only a RAM hog on High, on Standard its low.

1: open notepad

2: paste this in X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EI­CAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FI­LE!$H+H*

3: save it as something.exe make sure you put all files not text document

4: your antivirus should pick it up as soon as you save it without a scan
