i saved up 2 weeks dinner money to buy this fab record when it came out...how did i survive ? well i bought 2 plain bread rolls during my dinner hour at school they cost 1 1/2d each..this record was 6 shillings 8 old pence lol worth every penny..luckily enough i managed to replace the well worn copy...but that cost me 2 quid in robs record mart nottingham..happy days

This is one of the best beat songs from the mid sixties - still sounds brilliant today.

there was a rumour at one point that Meghan from this band and Honey from the Honeycombs were going to form a band. I can't help but think that was a setup for a painfully obvious joke about cereal. ;)

Solihull remembers the Applejacks as a band not a group thats wot we call em today. I live opposite one of the original Band Members and they came to Solihull Ice Rink Solihull Ice Rink had all the great bands not groups in the late 1960s and early 70s I saw Dave Berry and a few others long live the Cresta Club all the top acts would appear and come to Solihull Ice Rink Happy Days.
