Like all chi gung programs, tai chi relaxes and regulates the central nervous system, releasing physical and emotional stress, and promoting mental and emotional wellbeing.

Tai chi tones the muscles while releasing knots and tension in them. During each workout, these movements exercise every muscle, ligament, tendon and joint of the body.

Tai chi's movements cause every lymph node and internal organ to be massaged, and all the body's internal pumps to be energized.

  • @cioccolatosexy You do know that Chen Taiji is from the Chen Village where 80-90% of the men, women, and children practice and where the Chen style originated.

  • It should be remembered that though he is a competent master, Chen isnt the primary form of Taiji he studies, and this was I think an 80s vid, hes most likely improved.

  • @cioccolatosexy Nevertheless...a youth with the willingness to learn is just as entitled to learn as anyone else.

  • That's the fastest I've ever seen it done, not that that means anything good. I'd like to see him do it at a regular pace, he doesn't look bad.

  • @bullmeecham Actually, Chen Taiji does concentrate on alignment in conjunction with spirals. This is an example of inclusion of spiral to the exclusion of alignment.

  • Why if you were younger? They are perfect arts to carry you gracefully into old age.

  • I've recently gotten into I Liq Chaun, and it focuses pretty strictly on "alignment." So it's very interesting to see how most taiji is focused on spiraling forces. Very interesting.

  • These arts are not for youth. It takes a sophistication and fascination the young mind cannot wrap itself around. This is the first day of the rest of your life. I don't care if you're 90 that will always hold true.

  • You can clearly see the spirals that are core to this style. His movements are awesome. Diane

  • If I were younger I'd learn Chen style and ba gua
