strangely old bill did act when the us emabassy was attacked by sending cruise missles to kill bin ladan twice! these actions where condemmed by the republican lead congress at the time as "a feable attempt to divert this house's attention from the clinton hearings and posible impeachment over his lying to congress over monica"

the first bombing of the wtc was left to the new york police and the feds to investigate and they imprisoned the bombers! BUSH did nothing before the wtc attacks!

Context context context. Every comment I have seen from Olberman on Hillary leaving the primary race was after her major gaffes when she had been dead in the water already. Saying things like "We all know RFK was assassinated in june", IN JUNE. Those out of touch, insensitive, and flavorless comments she would make, then "apologize" for, were cause for comments telling her to step aside, etc. Unlike fox which spouts "OMG OBAMA IN A BATHING SUIT HE LOOKS MUSLIM/ELITIST/ANGRY BLACK MAN!"

Bush ignored ALL of the warnings leading up to 9/11, including those left him by the Clinton administration. Rice sent the FBI 'through channels' & told them not to 'bother the principals." As for Clinton, recognizing the danger of bin laden, he sent Congress the FIRST anti terrorism bill, requesting the means to more efficiently monitor the

terrorists. The republican Congress trashed his bill and

gave him nothing.

While Bush must shoulder some of the blame for not taking strict enough action against the hijackers before they were able to carry out the attack, Bin Laden operated at will when Bill Clinton was in the White House for 8 years.

The first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the US Embassy bombing in Kenya, and finally the USS Cole attack were all orchestrated by Bin Laden, and Clinton was simply too weak to deal with it. We did not have adequate responses, thus emboldening Al Queada.
