Basset hound dog howling at tornado siren

5-2008 this was during an actual storm for our county in Ohio. The sirens makes our basset hound howl as it seems to be just the right tone/pitch to make him howl. Our other 2 dogs (beagles)only bark, you can hear them in background. *Note, this storm was not near our house, but was within the county area, so no need for us to run for cover.

both my dogs howl at the tornado siren of course in carlisle, ky the tornado sirens the fire siren and the town alarm to let everyone know its noon. idk y they think the noon things necessary but anyway my dogs get to wage a noise making battle with the siren at least once everyday. which is awesome for me because i work 2nd shift....so i usually get startled awake every single day right about halfway through my sleep.....

Really? Wow lots of dogs bark my dog is lazy. all she does it ignore the siren and rolls over on the couch we try to bring her in the hallway are only safe place na well we really dont well idk well we do but she just is a lazy head (wonderng why am i in hallway? becuz my bathroom has glass and it could break on us lot of glass) i dont hav a basement either

My husky does the same thing when our sirens go off and when I had my kitty Leroy, he would run all over the house and knock things down.

The siren was hurting the dog's ears! Poor thing.
