@ZoraXKR take 2mins of your time and google 'Dan Black Chepstow' & see what some of us have to live with. Apologies after the event are meaningless.

@Cr1byn Yes blah blah blah .... Invest in some manners and a life and stop making something out of nothing. Seems you go out of your way to annoy and cause issues so that you have something to talk about. But thats just generalising, isnt it. I wont be reading your reply, so pls dont take 11 months to reply to this pls... ta (apologies for the "mistakes" in my last comment, I guess I hadnt really thought this thread was that important to waste my time on it.)

@ZoraXKR ~Invest in an education;
*'Driving'? He is on a bike.
*'Middle of the road'? He is not even in the middle of his lane, not even fully taking primary.
*The ignorance of the average uneducated Brit is unbelievable... 'making us drive slowly behind'? Please just spent half an hour of your life educating yourself on the highway code, you will clearly have much to learn

a nice stretch going west, you can cruise at the speed limit quite easily.. cars still seem to have to over take! On that slight uphill before the short decent into Kelston, a bus couldn't get the speed to get passed and literally forced me off of the road so it didn't hit an on coming car!

Nutter yes! but... were you driving in the middle of the road there?? My pet hate!!! Cyclists driving in the middle of the road... Can't overtake them and making us drive slowly behind...
bravo for doing 27mph thou!... :)

Appalling is the right word.
There is some serious ignorance out there.
@ZoraXKR. No, I'm 3 ft from the kerb, that was my mistake, I should have been further out to discourage him (or her) from attempting the overtake. By 'the middle of the road' I'm guessing you mean 'middle of their lane'? That's commonly called 'the primary position' - cyclists don't ride like that to deliberately hold you up, they are just trying to discourage dangerous overtakes like this one. Like I said, they could have waited a couple of seconds and passed with plenty of room.
