I respect 10pjj but Gjj is for every one. I tried to learn some 10pjj but wasnt flexible enough. So I focused on GJJ. My basic Gjj beats 10pjj 95% of the time. Im not saying i could smash a 10pjj brown belt but a solid brown belt beats a 10pjj brown belt 70-80 % of the time. Ask scott how he did against Marcelo......

@whaledub I think both have value, Scott is a very skilled grappler and Marcelo can make anyone tap. Look at what he did to Bocek, and Bocek is good also.

@sobralfan1 They are not all my credentials, I won the bud cup three divisions in one day and was runner up in absolute. I also have placed in many other bjj tournaments.

If someone showed a technique like Bocek that totally beat the rubber guard or Leo shows one would you not want to learn from that to make things better. @mprep736 That and he also wasn't squeezing in with his right leg. That'll get a rubber guard passed quicker than anything. A rubber guard that's done properly can control a guy much bigger and stronger than you. I know cause I used it last night to control a guy who was close to twice my size and outweighed me by almost 80 lbs.

@kenprimo There was this short dude at the gym. He couldn't close his legs around anybody because his legs were too short. Closed guard was incompatible with his body type so he left and stuck with wrestling. I really can't blame him.

can this work for heavier opponents? i weigh 130lbs and i train with guys who are anywhere from 160 lbs- 195lbs. i can work well on the deffensive but offensively im still working on better ways to gain the advantage
