Let's time warp back to 1985 and catch episode #5 of Time Machine! This NBC show was one part The Price Is Right, one part history lesson. It also boasted a spectacular music package and set.

This is the first game of the day, 3 In A Row.

  • This would have made sense if this was aired on The History Channel in my opinion.

  • Yep, it would've fit nicely there. If only History Channel had started 10 years earlier!

  • "Many games"? More like 6. 6 games, 3 games per show, 18 possible unique lineups.

  • Well, six that we know of, anyway. I seem to recall reading Jukebox Game was played in the first format too, but no episodes like that have surfaced.

  • @supersaver87 The premiere episode had the Jukebox Game.

  • @MrLogoman007

No it did not; the episodes on the debut were Tube Game, Main Event, and 3 In A Row.

  • I saw thewhammy83's ep. and I like it a lot! I wish there was a show like Time Machine on the air today! I am a history buff and I would be on it! It's a cross between TPIR and History IQ.

  • I have been wanting to see this show on here for quite some time! Thanks for posting it!

  • @supersaver87 Because of the typical kink working out of a new game show, the first few tapings ran long causing Charlie Tuna to have difficulty in doing his morning radio show, so standby announcer Rich Jeffries was brought in for one or two tapings.

  • For the Record, Sprite first cam out in'61, W2 started in '63, and Days premiered on 11/8/65.

I'll agree. If you heard of a show that's too ahead of its time; this one was.

  • i whana see a dianoraure :D

  • In my opinion, if I was the head of Daytime programming, I would've aired the series on CBS around late February-early March 1984, maybe after "The (New) $25,000 Pyramid" at 10:30am, thus sending "Press Your Luck" back to 9:30am. CBS would've had the first Reg Grundy-produced game show.

  • @sugarbear522 Or CBS.

  • @supersaver87 Sorry, my mistake. The last episode had the Jukebox Game.
