In 1983 I watched this locomotive in Japan Osaka.
It was fantastic for me at that time.

Sorry but Richard Trevithick invented the first steam locomotive in 1804. I was very pleased when I got to see "Rocket" at the science museum. I didn't care that she was modified from her original look seen on this replica, it's still a beautiful locomotive.

It's a wonderful machine,but the first steam loco was created by the genius Cornishman Richard Trevithick more than 20 years before Stephenson's Rocket was born.

i love the rocket shes fab but you know that she wasnt the worlds first steam loco, their were many before her most were unsucsesful. shes mostly the world famus of george stephensons because of course she wond the rainhill trills in 1815-35 i cant rember when exctally and becuase she was the first loco to be used on the brand new liverpool to manchester railway. not to mention shes the most magnifican lookin loco of all time :)
