  • Does the stock oil pump have problems with the higher volume of oil?

  • @seapeddler Nope, I ran an oil pressure gauge before and after installing the system and the oil pressures are perfectly fine. I'm running 0w-30 and don't have any issues. Right now it's about 45F out and I get about 75psi at 2500rpms

  • I have my oil analyzed after about 8k miles and everything looks good. After 10k its a good idea to change the filter if using a standard one. Amsoil has 25k lubricants without bypass. The whole point of bypass filtration is to take the oil for the long haul. There are truckers with over 100k miles on a single oil change. Its seems you paid $500 just to have clean oil at the oil change.

  • @E150GT I'm running lubricants rated to go 25k miles on an oil change. The problem with the oil after 10k miles is fuel dilution. You're really neglecting to look at the other factors of what this system does. Having "clean" oil at the oil change is far more meaningful than what you think.

  • youre only getting 10k out of the oil? that can be done without bypass filtration

  • @E150GT There is more to the equation than just how far you can go on oil. For instance, the bypass system pulls out water from the oil, provides higher capacity by 25%, allows the oil to be cooled, and cleans the oil far more than a full flow filter. You can't be too sure that you could even get 10k miles on an oil change without the bypass filter, but even if you could, the oil is in better condition regardless.

  • How much fuel dilution do you have? After 8200k miles on my 2.0l mazda, I have .5% fuel content in my oil. Thats nothing to worry about.. If you have large amounts you have a problem. Perhaps leaky injectors or a really rich condition which is bad

  • no, baby

  • :20, was that a horse?

  • @spontaneousworship I was able to get a similar system installed and I've been running it for almost 9k miles now. It's working much better than I'd expected. Usually marketing speak is overstated... but not at all in this case. Everything is very clearly stated, no surprises and no disappointment. The engine that I have in my car (and most engines these days) tend to have more unburned fuel than they used to so my fuel dilution is still higher than normal. It still looks like I'll get 10k miles
