1. The gap which I couldn't see because it was too dark is either because it has yet to load or the world generated that way... And

3. The light "in the distance" isn't a glitch it's realistic. In real life the light kind of goes similar in this way well 100 miles down it would still be light out and start being dark where u stood. They wanted to show this but they can't exactly do it that far away.
