When my husband read in Lewisham Life and The Guardian about the threat of demolition to Britain's largest surviving 1940's prefab estate, Excalibur, we jumped on our bicycles to have a look. While we were looping around its maze of roads, taking photos, we were lucky enough to bump into local resident Jim Blackender, who obliged me with an interview.

Here's the link to Simon Jenkins' article in The Guardian about Excalibur: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/jan/06/excalibur-castles-prefab-...

You can find out more about the Excalibur community's efforts to save their estate on Jim's website: http://jim-blackender.webs.com

And here's my website (I'm based nearby as a creator of children's books and comics): http://www.jabberworks.co.uk
Here's my blog post about the video: http://jabberworks.livejournal.com/365376.html
