ORIGINAL PART 1 John Ziegler Arrested / USC Katie Couric Award

John Ziegler was detained by the USC Campus Police for simply asking questions about the Excellence in Journalism award being given to Katie Couric at the Journalism building at USC on 04/15/09.

He was cuffed and roughed up by campus security after John refused to give up his right to free speech.

You have to watch the whole thing to believe what happens.

What I Have to Say:

Today I went to USC to witness and ask questions about Katie Couric getting the Walter Cronkite journalism award for her interview of Sarah Palin. I intended to also give away copies of my film but I was literally prevented from doing so. I did not go there hoping for or expecting any sort of confrontation, especially with law enforcement. I am simply shocked and horrified by what happened here, as should every freedom loving American. I did absolutely nothing wrong and I was handcuffed, detained and literally abused by law enforcement at the event. The video below will speak for itself, but I will have plenty to say about this very disturbing episode.

NOTE:

As many of you already know, I was arrested and roughed up by USC campus police while I was outside the event where Katie Couric got her journalism award for her Sarah Palin interview.

For those of you in Orange County California, we have a VERY special screening of my feature documentary "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected And Palin Got Smeared" as part of the Newport Beach Film Festival on Saturday April 25th 2009 at 11:00am.

If you can possibly make it, please do as it is very rare for a "conservative" film to be accepted into such a prestigious festival and it is very important that turnout be as strong as possible.

How dumb is this bloke? Calls himself a journalist investigating some alleged conspiracy. Rocks up uninvited to an awards ceremony on private property with a couple of first year media students, then when he's refused entry (surprise, surprise) instead of going away to carry on his 'investigation' constructively he just hangs around making a pest of himself giving a whole lot of stupid, smart-alecky comments.
