it's still an open-deck block. it's a nice motor. you spend more because you can chip it and get 375hp plus a good amount of torque. it has more potential than a 330. this is the next best thing to the new v8 m3.

bmw only put 2turbos inbecause there enginessuck cock , i gurantee this car will bring you atleast20 problemsin less than 6 months

17 years late from nissan's vg30dett.. same displacement, same power, without that bmw's tickling noise.. and probably a much better reliability....

Damn it! I feel sick not being able to drive it now. The thing that is most amazing is that it is so effortless. I had to apologize to the salesperson and my friend because I accidentally snapped their heads back coming out of the parking lot. I had 75 and never got it out of third. I hated the last BMW I drove and hit this one on a whim and now it's all I can think about. TIGHT!

It's worth the extra money. The motor in this BMW is possibly the best they ever made besides the S54 in the E46 M3 and the new Z4M and M Coupe. Simply said tis motor is very easy to tune and I've seen some tuned ones online and they are very fast. I also believe that BMW under rated this motor too as this car can stick neck and neck with the almighty M3.
