@sdliger You know no such thing, you profess a faith, faith by definition defies objective proof and thus you hope that you are right but you cannot honestly say that you know the unknowable and thats just fine. Faith offers a warm and fuzzy feeling and thats nice Call me crazy but the story of Jesus was one of a man that fed, healed and ultimately died for his fellow man, sounds like a socialist to me. I dont recall him speaking on the virtues of capitalism, you?

You may be right... However, What place does communism have in heaven?? What place does marx have in heaven... I will answer this for you... NONE, Marx was a confirmed atheist... look at most of the communist... They are mostly atheist! I know that people that deny that there is a god have NO place in heaven...

I was about to answer your question, then I see you've answered it for me and had an amusing conversation with yourself. Why do Christians seem to be the first to judge others and the last to want to help anybody? If you, as you profess on your page are a Christian, ask yourself, what chance does a capitalist have to get into heaven? If you cant recall the answer, check your favorite book under Matthew 19:23-24 or Mark 10:24-25 or Luke 18:24-25. What would Jesus do?

No you can have a balance of some sorts on certain levels, I mean we have laws to protect us, whether simple or not. People are held accountable for actions which should include health insurance companies. The stuff they are doing is criminal I mean down right murder yet there is no laws in place to stop it or protect the patients other then go after the doctors and hospitals. This is your life, your right to fair treatment and equality thats our United States Constitution.

Exactly you hit the nail on the head here! Why do people don't see the seriousness of this?! It can happen to anyone! Even if you had insurance for years, those calms dept personal will find something that you forgot to add in your application history, like a pulled tooth in sixth grade & then denied/ drop you because you lied on your application. Or you child because he/she was born with a hernia which they called pre-existing even though its not related. It has happen, wake up people!!

Nope but they can certainly foreclose on your house even "if" your insurance (the one "you paid" all these years for coverage) comes up with an excuse to not pay a major life situation accident, saying something stupid like it's your company's fault and they should pay or the other driver's fault and then lose out as you fight the courts while the hospital forces a sale and takes your house away. It does happen! Back in the 1890s a fire dept would ask you money before put out a fire.

People are dying across the nation because they can't afford health coverage. And the insurance companies don't care. And neither do the Republicans. Their "solutions" are not solutions at all. Just little drops in the giant bucket that is the health care debacle. It will take a massive sea change to enact true shifts in this broken system. Tort reform is nothing, and frankly Senator Durbin was right: What about the lawsuits that ARE warranted? For botched surgeries?? Patients' have rights!
