Once again, I apologize for the tiny subtitles, but he just talks so fast!

1. He says "Que vois-je" a lot, so I decided to stop translating after the first time. Each time he's talking and I didn't include a subtitle, he's saying "Que vois-je?" :)

2. Confession: I don't know what farandole means in French or English, just that I played an orchestra piece by that name in middle school :/

Wow, many fewer notes than I expected. I'm thinking of putting up more videos this summer, but it depends on whether or not I set up my mac. Happy Summer everyone!

  • I don't think you understood the point of this video....I know the English version of this song, I assure you. The object of this video is to show English speakers the French version of the song. So, even if you don't speak French, you can get an idea of what he's saying and compare and contrast it with the original. And wow, I can't believe I have to explain this to someone. I don't usually post nastly things but damn, you're really, really stupid.

  • I hate to tell you this but when there are French Lyrics they kinda translate differently. Don't critize the video if you don't know the French Language and how it translates. They did a great job!

  • je t aime Jack

    i love you jack

    ich liebe dich Jack

  • @FlameHaze104 You know, French is my first language and while I was watching this in French with them, they said, "Those aren't the ORIGINAL lyrics!" and I said "No, DUH. They have to make the French rhyme so it flows.." I said "I happen to like both the versions" They never watched a French movie with me again, and I stopped being friends with them because they were tired of me bugging them to speak French with them (they were both complete fluent) so I could feel more at home.

  • farandole is a kind of dance, so i'd roughly translate that line as "the celebration is taking/carrying me away in its huge/grand dance". with music, it's less important about transliterating the lyrics and more figuring out how to translate it so it fits, even if the individual words aren't perfect. 2nafish, good job with this. its fun ^^

  • @scullen08 me too

  • @zadnoleya1234q - The French translation had to be translated differently for it to fit the rhythm of it - of course the lyrics won't be exactly the same. "Que vois-je?" fits the rhythm better than "Qu'est-ce?", even though "Que vois-je?" means "What am I seeing?".

  • Jack tu toujour dit Que vois-je?

  • C'est dommage, parfois l'écriture est très petite. Mais à part ça, bon travail! =)

  • O__o That - was - AMAZING!! *O*

  • @zadnoleya1234q

well, it's a translationof the French adaptation. Did you expect to see the originals lyrics? Once i made subs for an english song: to keep rythm and (rimes ?) i had sometimes to change the sentence :)

  • "Tien, tien, tien..."

Hahaha, that was so cuuute! I love it!
