Development, democracy, urbanization, settling, colonizing = getting people to need/rely on a system. Usurping/crushing their ability to survive on their own. Enslaving them to a manipulated system.
Our true nature is a part of nature. Money, government, corporations, luxuries are superfluous which is why those who have them are more likely to be on Prozac or something.

Urbanization means more and more people will be reliant on a system over their own skill & prowess. Many Westerners cannot hunt, sew, build shelter, grow food - the basics of survival. The more the population shifts to cities, the less we can take care of ourselves. We need to move away from cities and globalization & learn basic survival again. We should live in sustainable, relevant villages, growing our own food, bartering and connecting with each other. Starve the government & corporations.
