The hat boys that call themselves country music stars should be forced to take a course in country done right...the Merle way!

A favorite of mine. My Uncle Cone Golden, as well. He met Merle at the Horseshoe Casino, Shreveport. Jack Binnion's Steak House after the show.

Jackson's been recording for over 20 years, Strait for over 30. I don't think they can be called young guns any more.

agreed, a good song, and a beer soaked voice beats the 'pop' cowboys hands down. but don't be too hard on the young guns, some of em are doin it their own way, and not trying to be the new hag, or hank, and their are a few real good ones like alan jackson and george strait .

yeah, but most of the new legends never get to make a third album, the likes of hag , waylon and willie etc made loads of albums and their music will live and be played forever , shame they drank most of the money they made , but that was the lifestyle they chose.
