People don't like being told about themselves. Janeane was just on Bill Maher and she brought up that show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant," and said there should be a show about the teabaggers called "I Didn't Know I Was Racist" - because they show up at Town Halls with blatantly racist signs and yet act all outraged when somebody accuses them of it. Really, they just want their cake and to eat it too - and they think their "code" is only understood amongst themselves.
