Hello, I've been collecting rare films and television programmes for nearly twenty years now and I thought it was high time I shared some clips from a few of the titles in my archive with you nice people out there.

If you've a similar passion and would like to trade or just want to say hello, thanks etc. get in touch with me here or at statesedgefilms@virginmedia.com

MODESTY BLAISE (1982)
Unsuccessful pilot for a proposed series based on the characters created by Peter O'Donnell for his comic strip, Modesty Blaise. The plot was based (very loosely) on the first Modesty Blaise book. Which in turn had been a novelization of a practically unused screenplay that O'Donnell had written for the first Modesty Blaise film.

  • Oh dear. I'll stick to the books. Still, a curio well worth sharing

  • It had nice opening scenes, especially seeing Ann Turkel's legs in action! I was under the impression that Willie had two throwing knives, not three, but I guess the producers of this pilot wanted to present a memorable scene to sell the series. Sadly, it didn't work. I wonder if it's out on DVD somewhere.
