Also, what has changed about human and government nature in the last 200 years to make gun ownership obsolete? Ill tell you, NOTHING. And how is disarming the peasents by force a "civilized" society? Seems to me that a society with equal checks and balances for all is far more civilized than being subjugated. And again, what does it matter if its a semi auto or a shotgun, its a mute point, the problem is crime, and regulating the law abiding fixes NOTHING, its useless lefty feel good politics

So you dont want to own an AK clone, thats fine, but why have this bias that if you do, its somehow an "obsession", suggesting a problem? The NRA does not OWN the politicians, US Citizens do not want excessive control of the 2nd ammendment, we have laws and mechanisms that if applied correctly, would reduce crime, and the 2nd is as valid now as it was then, have you seen the steps the US government has taken lately?

I form my own opinions and am not "lead" by the media as you put it.The right to bear arms had some validity in post revolutionary America but you cant defend the widespread ownership of semi automatic weapons in a modern civilized society. The NRA own all your politiciansand to say what does it matter means you are just washing your hands of any responsibility.I have been trained in the use of firearms but along with my old army pals I have no desire to go in the countryside with an AK47.

There is no "obsession", and what does it matter? A deer rifle, a semi auto AR, guns are not a corrupting influence like drugs or media. I've always been into the outdoors and I like guns, just like I like cycling, scuba diving, camping, music. Why is it that interest in guns has become this stigma? because one brat does a crime? that means the other tens of millions of us are now sick, or a problem? its pure brainwashing hysteria, why let the media lead you by the nose over a non problem?

So then having 24 years in the military you would then also know how easy it is to subjugate an entire country that cannot defend itself against tyranny.... our founding fathers were very clear about why we have the rite to bare arms......maybe you didn't see the video that hit U-Tube ...ya know the one that came out of Tucson AZ Veteran shot 61 times before a single policeman entered his home ......Wake the fuck up man!!!!!

What is this obesession in the US for automatic weapons? I was in the military for 24 years and am trained in all manner of weaponry but I have no deire to own or carry a firearm. I notice from your profile that you seem taken with these firearms. Why?
