Orthognathic surgery for a teenager. Isn't that a bit extreme?

This patient described herself as "being sick a lot" and being tired most of the time. She would routinely miss two days of school per week, take long naps every day and, despite her best efforts, could not keep up with her friends in athletics because of a lack of stamina. The daughter of a dentist who was friendly with Dr. Hang, she and her parents were stumped at what the problem could be.
