A wonderful classic from the World Famous Chuck Wagon Gang. Though this is the third generation group, one thing that has not changed is the mission of the group, that is to follow Dad's admonition to "sing the old songs and sing 'em the way I taught you." The Gang hopes to bring the message of hope and salvation to a weary and uncertain world.

  • We sang some of these wonderful old Gospel songs when I was a young girl going to a church in Kentucky.. They are so inspiring and rewarding to listen and receive a blessing Eternal joy!!!

  • One of the best hymns, thanks

  • What a Promise! What a message!

    Thanks for posting.

  • I was raised on the original groups singin. I don't know where my mom got them from, but even today I remember those songs;" I want to be ready "etc. Thanks for posting and God bless you

  • Beautiful.

  • This is just perfect harmony.

  • One of my favorites. I've not heard this rendition before. I really enjoy hearing the bass part!! ( Of course since it's my part, I'm partial! )

A Sacred Harp singer taught the song to singers in north Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi and it's become a welcome supplement to The Sacred Harp.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks Scutter. My Dad loved this group and this was one of his fave songs. He suddenly went home last October and I tear up when I hear his fave songs but I know he's in a better place. God bless!
