Brian Cant. Lovely stuff. I was 28 at the time, then I got off the bus, ah.

@Schizopantheist Too right my man, back when Harry Hill was an unknown on Channel 4 before TV Burp propelled him to fame, back before Vic Reeves was doing bingo ads and, as you say, when Stew and Rich were the darlings of the alternative scene on telly...

Ah, when life was full of promise, eating my cereal in front of TMWRNJ, dreaming of rich vistas of comedic inventiveness ahead. What has become of it all! Why were my dreams so cruelly crushed? See the young face of Stewart Lee there, innocent and free.
And what of Simon Munnery? Attention Scum! Too late.
Oh the sadness of things.

Stewart Lee sort of discovered the guys from the Mighty Boosh. He had them in some of his Edinburgh shows when they were younger, then he directed their first Edinburgh show.
So they are likely to have been influenced by him...so you should be thanking Stewart Lee really.
