Explanation of a NOS brand Dry fogger nitrous system.

2 of 5 NOS videos -

What is Nitrous? Simply put, Nitrous (N2O) creates large amounts of horsepower by creating more oxygen in the engines cylinder chamber and cooling the air from the intake. Both of which makes the engine more efficient and thus creates more horsepower for short bursts of speed. As N2O is injected, the Nitrous system will also inject more fuel to burn with the extra O2.

  • his voice changes aye?

like half way through the video

  • @k2sty1

that would be the second narrator...

    completely different person

  • could you use pure oxygen or would it just explode

  • Pure Oxygen is much more expensive and dangerous to handle, carry and store. It would also badly corrode any metallic parts along the plumbing route and within the intake system on the way to the combustion chamber (over time).

It would also be more volatile up to the point of ignition whereas Nitrous is an inert gas until the heat generated by the combustion breaks the nitrogen molecules away to safely allow the oxygen to help burn the added fuel.

Watch our "What is NOS" video clip for example

  • if i want to install nos what do i need to get to do this ? sorry am stupid

  • You would need to decide on a Dry or Wet system and then choose one that fits your needs for horsepower increase range.

You can go to the BoxWrench Youtube channel and watch the other NOS videos that show what a Dry vs Wet system is (at the end of the 'What is NOS' clip)

Then watch the video related to the type of nozzle you select for your engine.
