FFIV Final Minisode? - Pink Puffs & Adamant Armor

Why is there a ? at the end of the minisode? Simple.....I may do more with the game. What exactly? Maybe show the rarest encounters in some areas (I can do that with the help of a code, which I used to show you guys this. Normally, the odds of running into these guys are 1/128 or 1/64...something like that. Oh, and you'll see that I got a Pink Puff Tail (which I also hacked), which is also a 1/64 or 1/128 chance of dropping. Retardedly hard to get, but rightfully so, as the Adamant Armor is the best armor in the game. And yes, I had another code on that gave me 99 of anything that I pick up. You only get 1 Adamant Armor per tail.


I might show a vid of what a full party with the best equipment looks like. Note that yes, I did hack that in too, but only to see what it'd look like myself, as I've never seen either Adamant Armor nor Glass Helmet before this playthrough....and with those plus Protect Rings on everyone, it's just......stupid. lol


If anyone has any suggestions on what to do for either this game or FFV for vids, just let me know and I can try and do so. Granted, it'd be hard to do "rarest encounters" for FFV as there's really no code for that that I'm aware of. ^^;

Why is Kain so ridiculously weak? When you acquire (again) Kain in the Giant of Babel, he is usually the same level (give or take one, depending on how close Cecil is to leveling up) as Cecil.

I believe I was just leveling everyone up and he was the last one I didn't level up yet.

Also about that code....I forget what it is. I'd have to take a look at it in-game but....you can also find it on Gamefaqs IIRC...

@arturocabezal did you know you can bring them back with a life1 spell, or item. they will die again instantly as they are brought back with 0HP. giving you a double kill. you can do that with any monster for more XP. i love FF4 glitches!

I just beat this game last night for the third time, but before that i searched for hours for rare items and all i found was a firebomb. funny enough, there's a staff you can find in the tower of Bab-il called silence, it's stronger than the life staff, but apparently very rare.

You mentioned Glass Helmets, but since Adamant armor takes care of any physical attacks, I'd argue that Ribbons are better since Ribbons offer some magic defence whereas Glass Helmets do not. I would agree on Protect Rings.

@MasterMorty It's easier to just farm (using sneak) 99+ Alarms from Searchers (or whatever they're called) in the Giant of Bab-il (especially since they're awesome for leveling up if they're the ones that call Mech Dragons). If you don't get a pink tail after 99 tries, something's wrong.

there;s actually a trick to encountering pink puffs (at least in the gba version) basically, you enter the room, and immediately quicksave your game, then when you get to the title screen, hit continue, but select no, then hit continue again and hit yes, you'll run into the following enemies in this order: gold&silver dragons, dino zombie dino zombie dino zombie FLAN PRINCESSx5. theres also a chance that youll skip the dragon battle, and go straight to the dinozombies, but it's a good method.

@PonyboyInNewZealand , I will try it today: he meant, when one pink puff is about to die, (when it has less than 1000 H.P), send kain to jump on it (which will kill it). But BEFORE Kain falls on it, command Rosa to use life2 on the pink puff you're about to kill.

Kain will kill it before Rosa has performed the life2. It will dissipate. then rosa will perform the life2, which will bring him to life. makes sense. I Will see tonight if it works :)
