you should make photography tutorials!

vr means vibration reduction, they both have the same zoom but one might be a little more blurry then the othr one
-
The VR lens vibrates as you take a picture.
thus causing the picture to have no vibrations, because the vibrations in the lens counteract against your hand movement. Causing the picture to have no camera shake.
It is great to use at all times apart from on a tripod, where it can actualy give the picture camera shake, because there is nothing for it to counteract against.

@rubrnekvideo still use it.
Actually my FE is 30 years old. My D60 is 2 years old... and it already broke down... had to sent it for repairs... damnit.
So I shot all my holiday pics with Nikon FE which i took as spare :P

I really recommend that you get a 55-200 mm VR, ive had nothing but great photos with it!

In my experience:
Tele lenses are kind of useless... the closer you get to the subject you're photographing the better.
I recommend people gettin a 50mm , 35mm, 70mm,

T_T you shouldn't have blown in the lens....
not a good idea.

it doesn't matter. your lens should be cleaned regularly. dust is inevitable.
