This is the Steve Eves Saturn 5 launch world record for amateur rocket !

8, 7, 5... 6-5 =P Nice launch though

How high?

fail count down ?:S

That was incredible!!! The countdown was even better heehee, but seriously that was a well made model and launch of a Saturn V rocket done from scratch. I would have had trouble remembering my own name let alone a countdown at that very moment till launch! Well done on a successful launch sir :)

so this isn't the world largest model rocket. must be close.
-
Now that was a good, clean launch -especially considering the height of that model

Anyone know when will they launch this rocket again?

From Vern,
It flew at LDRS this year, so the next launch will be in 2010 at LDRS depending where it is. 2009 LDRS in New York I will fly a large Mercury Redstone.

How do you get all the engines to ignight all at once?
Logandown 3 years ago
#1 - you use good detonators that won't fail
#2 - you use a system that is designed to send current to multiple ignition charges at the same time
In this case the launch was at the "away" pad (as in far away from the spectators) and the ignition was done remotely from the main launch area.
