Great tone, I have the same sg without the vibrola. Are your 57 paf,s super bright? I like the amp with your tele best and with the sg just not dimed but you work with the amp great.

I do not think inherently that PTP wiring sound better that PCB amps. If the PCB amp is designed similar with good components i dare anybody to be able to hear a difference (sorry cork-sniffers), but i am feed up with all products these days built overseas with finnicky PCB design and heavy dead sounding MDF that are not made to last and if anything breaks it is cheaoer to replace entire boards... Old amps can be fixed with a few new componets and last 50-60 years...

Arghh damn you americans.. so many handwired amps on your market.. Goodsell , tungsten, Carr , Morgan, Allen amps.

At least i found two makers here in europe. Lazy amp L20, a 20 watt 6l6 5E3 with celestion alnico blue (1800 dollars), and Flynn 14 watt classic 5E3 for around 1590 dollars.. The blue is a great speaker but breaks up fast. Prefer the G12H which is a bit more versatile but really need some volume to pump out all frequencies..

I agree with BaneAlfredo. The hot rods seems less natural and have something congested in the upper mids that i do not hear in a bassman or super reveb with p10r speakers.. I think the eminence special design speaker is a major culprit. I heard shootout of a blues junior with stock speaker and vintage 30. The vintage 30 though an aggresive high midrange speaker opened up the sound. I heard the blues junior with a c12n that also sounded better than stock.

I do like this dude quit a bit,Id like a 50 to 60 watter with a celestion gold and a 1/2 power ,a lot more. Just sayin..Is there such a thing?
