The video is not meant to imply that all the images are from this California fire season, it was simply created as an ode to the firefighters of this fire season here... but it is also an homage to firefighters everywhere. Sorry if anything about the title was misleading in any way.

Must have been some wild experience to live through the 2000 Montana fire season. Glad you came through it.

i think its a cool vid.2008 was my rookie year as a firefighter.i was on the Iron Complex-Buckhorn division,Elmore,Canyon Complex,Rich,and Miller.the Nor-Cal fires were crazy.

The photo of the elk standing in the river with the mountain side engulfed behind them was NOT from the 2008 fires in California and it wasn't even from California at all. That photo that was taken of the elk were standing in the Bitterroot River in the Bitterroot National Forest from the 2000 fire season in MONTANA. The reason why we know this is because we were there!!!

mississa11, god bless your son, god keep him safe. i am appreciative of the fire fighters, i live not to far from redding, i live in a town called fall river. there was a fire over in hatcreek/castle, that was about 10 miles from my house. i know how hard the fire fighters are working. bless them.

i drove over in paradise, and chico, the fire was really big, it burned up all the mountain hills. i drove over into butte college, and the fire went around it. it was a close call. keep ur boy safe!
