President earns accolades from his Bulgarian counterpart 1 st November 09

The Bulgarian President has applauded President Rajapaksa for his untiring efforts to rebuild Sri Lanka.
Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov during this visit to Sri Lanka met President Rajapaksa at Temple Trees this morning. Both leaders diverted attention to further enhancing bilateral political dialogue and cooperation in the economic, cultural and other spheres of mutual interest. It was pointed out that both sides enjoy excellent cooperation in the framework of the UN and other international organizations. The Bulgarian leader was informed by the Sri Lankan President about the efforts made in the process of post conflict rehabilitation. Bulgaria was confident that the process will be successfully completed. The Bulgarian President and his team were hosted to lunch.

Meanwhile, First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and her Bulgarian counterpart also had a cordial discussion. Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva, Rohitha Bogollagama, Prof. G.L. Peiris and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Presidents Secretary Lalith Weeratunga, Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Foreign Secretary Romesh Jayasinghe were present.
