While flying over the Gulf of Aden, we attempted to launch a sonobuoy that partially deployed but got hung up. The small chute was making it bang underneath the plane. We had to abort the mission, and make an emergency landing at Masirah, Oman. As soon as we touched down, the sonobuoy came out on the runway. VP-4 Crew 6, 1992, LT Kevin Frye/USN
