boom what a setup. i'm slowly realising that my dream of 60mph will not be possible with out a flat day on the ocean.

2 problems re 60mph: First on any day in the ocean there is some swell. Chop has no pattern and the model is not upset by it. The pattern of a swell means the effect can be very dramatic unless it is a large model or going slow.
second: Series is always better, if the motor winding changes appropriately. If you use the same wind start to parallel the cells. However the effect of extra battery weight and larger prop will combine to upset a cat very quickly especially as the speed rises.
