This is written by someone who doesn't work in publishing. Amazon has made books and READING more important and a part of 'mainstream' than at anytime in the past 40 years. Don't attack the smart business model. I love independents but Amazon is not the devil. You want to complain? Talk to Ingram and B&T about their practices.

And if we pay less, the problem is? Taxes that states desperately needs?
Do you know Amazon allow writers to sell directly his e-books? Doesn´t really help authors? A bunch of lies... Business evolves. Fewer and fewer quality books? Less academic books? Amazon fault?
