@PokemonCollection1 there is usually 52 episodes in a season but the U.S. did not air four episodes. The missing episodes are Team Rocket vs Team Plasma! part 1, Team Rocket vs Team Plasma! part 2, Dawn's New Journey!, and Crisis at the Pewter Gym!

This is strange though, in the Japanese Series their are at least 60 episodes. Usually they follow the same order as the Japanese Airings. So it looks like it will end with 48 episodes. I don't recall this ever happening before. At least this season wont be as huge as I thought. If you can, please leave me more details. Thanks for the info!
