The Crimson Pirates lead the cast and patrons of the New York Renaissance Faire in singing "A Sailor's Prayer" on 26 August 2007.

Thanks to all of you for making my birthday so memorable. I treasure you all, and will continue to promote your arse-kickin' band 'til ye're forced to put me in th' sod.

  • i love these guyss. we go to the fair every year. always lots of fun.

and if im correct that is Dextre Tripps old stage. haha.

  • I will not lie me down, this rain a-ragin'

I will not lie me down, in such a storm

And if this night be unblessed, I shall not take my rest

    Until I reach another shore

  • I'm not crazy about this rendition of it, either. I love the song; Pirates for Sail does a nice rendition of it. (Don't have a link, sorry.) I find this to be a bit too fast, and I really dislike the tempo changes with every verse, and the hand-clapping -- no.

  • Gordon Bok does it very well. This is pretty grim.

  • I posted a negative assessment of this performance last night and I see it isn't here now. Why would that be?

I agree this is a wonderful song. This performance however is anything but. Rod MacDonald's ears must bleed when he hears what people do to this song.

    Awful, just awful.

  • This is a great song!!
