@drunkswan they needed the solos on deliver us man yea the old stuff is kick ass its just i nedd to hear the solos too bad kris isnt there tho so wutevs
I personally hated Deliver Us. I thought Undoing Ruin was rad and all but to me the best Darkest Hour albums have been Hidden Hands and So Sedated So Secure. I'm really hoping the new album doesn't disappoint because I love this fucking band.
i wouldn't say i was devistated when i heard Kris was gone, bummed but not devistated. Kris was amazing no question there, but i've always love Mike's style, the solos Mike actually did on Deliver Us, as few as they were, are probably my favorites on the album. seems like everyone's forgetting that DH was around before Kris was in the band, and they shredded. My first thought when i read Kris was done was "shitty, but now Mike is gonna take over and show us how fucking good he really is."
I'm glad he took it with him. Undoing Ruin and Deliver Us are great CDs but they don't compare to the aggression that the old albums have. Time for Mike to stop being overshadowed by fucking Kris Norris and bring the shred.
one thing people fail to realize is that kris cannot be replaced neither can his melodic sweeps or any sound that he has, he brought a new sound to dh and took it with him when he left ( kris norris projekt ) this band is and always will be amazing the only thing i hope for is that they go back to the sadist nation/mark of the judas sound athough deliver us was great it just didnt feel the same,
Yeah fer sure! You know whats funny is that when I found out Norris wasn't in the band anymore I was the same way also. I thought "Damn, what the hell are they going to do now". I think every DH fan was devastated. But you what, to me DH is the best Metal band out there today, if not one of them, and I'm sure alot of people would agree, & I mean alot of people. So hopefully The Eternal Return will be awesome, & I have a strong feeling it will be, ya know.
Yeah man. Idk. I loved this band so much and got depressed as fuck when I heard Kris left to start producing but I wil ladmit, Im looking forward to theyre new cd. If nothing else, Johns vocals and the lyrics will still be amazing. I just doubt that the riffs and solos will be as good as they used to.
