@alex59ba Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian.---this quote is from Alexandre Dumas in a book entitled The Companions of Jehu

@paulnbartley you are so wrong, rock never metamorphasised into punk, rock was still very much alive during the couple of brief years of punk, great albums were still been made rock bands were still playing to sell out audiences, as for rock and brass and woodwind etc it may not have been the big success hoped for but it worked, would have been really difficult taking a full symphony orchestra out on the road. Listen to Concerto for Group and Orchestra, Deep Purple and RPO, BRILLIANT
40 years ago underground/ progressive rock started to loose its way and run out of ideas, so a lot of bands started using wind and brass instruments in their compositions. The idea never took off and the rock scene metamorphosed into punk. this album was one of prog rocks last attempts at a new sound and it will live forever in the hearts of those that were there at the time
