@thinkingman07 I agree,the numbers have grown to the millions of deaths.Some biased people are just plain opinionated and blinded by propaganda.The life expectancy rose with good lifestyle choices.Infact there is ample evidence that thimerosol in vaccines causes mitochondria damage and neuron depletion,causing autism and its on the rise.Drugs are killing people and causing complications.People are lucky to see 70.Infact people in the 50's walk around with bags of tablets and they are schemed.

Most criticism of western/scientific medicine are actually just criticism of doctors and business... SCIENCE WORKS. Doctors, on the other hand, are capable of making mistakes. Trust in scientific medicine, not mysticism and faith.

If you think your doctor is prescribing you drugs that you don't need, change doctors, not disciplines. My (medical) doctor brought my blood pressure down from a dangerously high level to pretty normal without prescribing a single pill. Other doctors would have told me to take blood pressure tablets. A good medical doctor knows all about natural medicine, but also has the tools to give you a proper treatment when needed.

Wow, I thought naturopathic doctors were just like real doctors, who just arbitrarily cut out half of the world's medical knowledge because it wasn't "natural"! This guy has cleared it up for me though. Lucky I now know not to waste my time.

@thinkingman07 Just where are you getting your information? There's nothing of the sort in the NJEM article from March 2005. Herbs, hydrotherapy, diet and homeopathy? Bunk and nonsense. The rise came from physicians, yes, who used hygenic treatments, yes, eclectics? No. Handwashing, sterilization of equipment, antibiotics all significantly increased the life expectancy and outcomes. There is evidence to show that, it's quantifiable, unlike Homeopathy which continues to show nothing past placebo
