The Quakers stormed out to a 5-1 lead in the first half and never looked back as they beat Otterbein 11-8 for the Quakers' first win of the season. Daniel Dowd had six points on the day (4 goals, 2 assists) as well as six ground balls while Chris Sisk netted four goals on the match with five ground balls. Jake Beneke (1 goal, 2 assists) and Ken Keesee (1 goal, 1 assist) also had multi-point days for the Quakers. The Quakers also had a solid defensive effort, leading the ground ball count 48-32. Mark Guillen also made 10 saves for the Quakers.
